Beryl stone belongs to a
family most people know as emerald.
Aquamarine -
sky-blue to
blue-green, but if treated by radiation or heat it will more likely be
either a darker or dark blue;
Emerald -
bright-green;
Green Beryl - light
green;
Goshenite -
colourless;
Heliodor -
golden to
greenish-yellow;
Morganite -
pink;
Peach Beryl

varieties of beryl are found in America, Afghanistan, Austria,
Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Egypt,
Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Madagascar,
Mozambique, Namibia, Pakistan, Russia, Somalia, South Africa, Spain,
Switzerland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
