It is a harder rock
than is limestone, with a more crystalline texture, and no fossils.
It is yellowish cream, grey or white in colour, and consists at least
50% of dolomite.
It can look similar to limestone but fizzes less in hydrochloric acid.
It occurs with limestone, as layers within limestone where it has been
through the process of dolomitization.
